On Friday, January 14, 2011 amidst a winter snowstorm, I had the opportunity to visit with the students of Challenger Elementary School in Thief River Falls. This was quite an exciting day that started right at 8:45 AM and continued the entire school day; I went from class room to class room delivering my message of "Explore Your Backyard: Visit Your Minnesota State Parks and Trails" to the students. We also discussed the amazing work of the Children's Miracle Network and how the Miss Red River Outstanding Teen program fits into all this. We had a great time! I hope to see all of you again soon!
