| My first portrait as Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen |
On September 11, 2010 I was crowned Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen 2010! Holding this title is a true honor and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to represent the Red River Valley. I am very excited for the upcoming year and all the interesting people I will meet.
A little bit about myself- I am a busy home schooled student; I take all my academic courses at home while taking music courses at our local high school. That way I get to see some of my friends every day! I enjoy performing music, especially piano. I also play cello in the orchestra and joined the choir last year, too. Besides music, I am on the school speech and tennis teams, and if I have any time left, I like to travel!
I am excited to become involved in activities through out the Red River Valley. I plan to be in many parades and speak to several organizations regarding my platform, "Be Dynamic! Practice the Keys of Life" which focuses on the value of music education, its impact on academic performance, and how many of the lessons learned in music help all areas of life.
I plan to update my blog as I attend events so keep checking in!
