7/16/2011 performing with Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and Post Traumatic Funk Syndrome!

Last year my younger brother Brett began to play with the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Beverly Everett.  I was able to attend several of their concerts, including Verdi's "Defiant Requiem" conducted by Murray Sidlin.  This year, I was asked to join and my first performance with the BSO was on July 16, 2011.  This concert featured patriotic music celebrating our Nation's Independence, and also, the sounds of the Post-Traumatic Funk Syndrome.  What a great experience to mix orchestra and funk!  Most of the members of the band were at the concert and were very fun to perform with.  Members include Sarah Morken, Vocals;  Ryan Jackson, Vocals; Nick Peterson, Drums; Jon Rudolph, Guitar; Chris Gould, Keyboards/ Hammond Organ; Doug Neill, Bass; Tom Strait, Trumpet; Jesse Braunagel, Trumpet; Jeremy Brekke, Trumpet; Russ Peterson, Alto Sax; Patt Patnode, Tenor Sax; Josh Argall, Baritone Sax; Nat Dickey, Trombone; and Toby Curtright, Founding Father. Be sure to check out one of our next BSO shows!  The schedule can be found here!
