10/8/2010 Frazee High School Homecoming Parade

My friends at Nereson Chevrolet in Detroit Lakes

It was a beautiful day for a Homecoming Parade!
87 degrees in October!

My sister queen, Miss Moorhead,
Tiffany Schulstad-Peterson

I was asked to ride in the Frazee
Homecoming parade on October 8, 2010.
It was an honor to participate as my sister
queen, Miss Moorhead, Tiffany Schulstad-
Peterson is a Frazee Alum!  The residents
of Frazee were out in full force celebrating
homecoming and supporting their school
and community.  The football team enjoyed
the pep-fest, and the volleyball team was
cheered by all.   The Lion's Club was living
out their motto, "We Serve" and the Fly
Girls Dance Team was busy spinning heads
with their awesome performance skills!  Of
course, local royalty was inattendance, too-
Miss Frazee Outstanding Teen Ellie
Bachmann, Miss Vergas Haylee Daggett,
and Princess Altona Leah Wubben were
also celebrating the big day.

Hats off to Frazee!

10/2/2010 Goose Fest Parade in Middle River!

Meghan Kuznia,
Miss Thief River Falls 2010
and myself

Hello, Middle River!

Today I was escorted in the Goose Fest Parade by Mike Lehrer in his Victory Red Camaro convertible!  It was a joy riding with him as the weather was perfect for a parade.  The leaves were falling and the colors were intensely gorgeous!  It was fun to see so many people out celebrating in Middle River.  If you have never been to a small town festival, this is one to take in!  I was amazed at how many people from the region came out!  The streets were closed off in front of The Wheel down past Young's General Store and well past the American Legion Club.   Uff-Da Tacos was out refreshing the crowd as was The Spud Wagon and many others.  There was a smile on every face.  I met up with Meghan Kuznia, Miss Thief River Falls 2010 and we had fun visiting and planning appearances together.  I also ran into our state legislators, Sen. LeRoy Stumpf, and my neighbor, Rep. Dave Olin.  They both congratulated me on my accomplishment as Miss RRVOT and I wished them both well in the upcoming elections.

9/25/2010 Miss Middle River Pageant

Moriah Nelson, Miss Marshall County 2010 and I
On September 25, 2010 I attended my first pageant as visiting royalty.  The Miss Middle River Pageant, although not part of the Miss Minnesota system, supports the Miss Marshall County pageant.  I was able to perform one of my Gershwin Preludes for Piano and I was honored by the spirit and enthusiasm of Middle River.  The community has so much to be proud of!  Thank you to KayDell Super for asking me to perform and congratulations to Kerry Strub, who was crowned Miss Middle River 2010!

9/24/2010 Lincoln High School Homecoming Parade!

Go Prowlers!

Thank you to Steve Lillestol
and Thief River Ford!

What a cool truck!

This parade was in my neck of the woods... literally!  Since I attend Lincoln, this was a very special parade for me because I got to see many familiar faces in the crowd!  Thief River Falls is very supportive of our schools as so many local businesses and people were in or watching the parade.  Thief River Ford is one of those very supportive businesses, as they were kind enough to let my dad and I drive a Ford Lariat Truck.  It even had one of those cool stair-steps built into the back hatch so I could climb in easily!  My dad really, and I mean really loved the rear-view camera too!  Back to the parade, I had a blast seeing my friends and family along the route!  For instance, by St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Franklin Middle School students cheered me on, led by Samantha Buckley, Hannah Brickson, Jacinda Zemcik, and others!  The Schmidt family; Phil, Elaine, Abby, and Lizzy, travelled from North Branch, MN to watch the parade, and Challenger Elementary even bussed their 800+ students to cheer us on!  Thank you, Thief River Falls, for being so supportive!
Waving to Thief River Falls!

9/18/2010 Potato Bowl Parade!

My Mom and Dad!  I love you!

Thank You Rydell-Nissan!

All Smiles! :)

Grandma and Grandpa travelled with
the family to watch the parade!
Smile and Wave!
On Saturday, September 18, 2010, I got to be in my very first parade as Miss RRVOT 2010!  The Grand Forks Jaycees were kind enough to let me enter the Potato Bowl Parade on short notice and it was so much fun!  I am thankful to Rydell-Nissan for providing me with an awesome ride: A brand-new Nissan Titan metal-edition truck!  I saw many people, actually, several thousand people there!  It was a great day for a parade with hardly a single cloud in the sky and the sun shining brightly.  After the parade, I met up with my family, my biggest fans :)
My brothers and sisters and I are "The 10 B's!"

9/16/2010 Movie night at Trollwood!

My Sister-Queen
Tiffany Schulstad-Peterson
and I

My Favorite... Hot Chocolate!
Who doesn't love a good movie?  I was so excited when Tiffany and I were asked to greet movie-goers at the Trollwood Performing Arts Center movie night on September 16, 2010.  It was a chilly night, but those "brave" enough to attend had a blast watching "Curious George" and drinking what else?  Hot Chocolate!  This was a very unique event scheduled by Moorhead Park and Recreation and, wow!  Trollwood is so cool! (Hint, hint.... I'd perform there anytime!)
Meet and Greet!

9/12/2010 An Afternoon of Inspiration with Miss Minnesota

Miss Minnesota 2010
Kathryn Knuttila
All smiles!
We returned home at about 3 AM after the Miss Moorhead/ Miss Red River Valley Outstanding Teen pageant, and just 12 hours later, I was back in Moorhead at "An Afternoon of Inspiration" performing with my friend, Kathryn Knuttila, Miss Minnesota 2010.  It was truly an uplifting and inspirational concert as I heard the heart-felt stories of many people from the Moorhead area that benefit from the Sanford Hospital and Children's Miracle Network.  It was also fun to listen to the inspirational talents of the many performers, such as Miss Minnesota Kathryn Knuttila, Miss RRV Outstanding Teen 2009 Paige Meyer, Miss Moorhead 2009 Bethany Beniak, Miss Moorhead 2010 Tiffany Schulstad-Peterson, and many more.  After the event, Miss Minnesota's Dad, Steve Knuttila, served refreshments with a smile!
